Birth.

USBCvD has its unexpected roots in multiple threads- Jung’s Red Book, a 36-song-album that teases the gods of chance, belly laughs and the birth canal of The Vacuuniverse.

This film birthed us as we birthed it.

What started as an experiment in freedom and creativity- donning colorful ski masks, vacuuming in unlikely places and laughing at our own ego deaths- has now blossomed into not only a film, but an underground worldwide movement of imagination and collective spirit.

We’ve gathered filmmakers, animators, non-artists, poets and performance artists from California to South Africa to birth a collaborative work that transcends linearity, lineage and the material world.

A fever dream, the nature of connection, what happens when we choose to explore the messy and unfiltered depths of our own inner realms.

Masking to Unmask.

As we invited participants to the project, we noticed the very process of creation satiated a craving for connection, expression and freedom from the atrophy of expectation and spiritual binary. It became a dream soul project for its makers, but also transformed those who put the mask on with us in order to unmask.

Exploring the unsanitized spaces of the inner world and the human condition, USBCvD celebrates playful intelligence and multifaceted wisdom where elders, children, adults and ancestors alike move through multiple realms of the psyche on a journey to holistic integration.

This glitching and surreal narrative intentionally inverts the hierarchical perspective of the unconscious and conscious being more or less powerful, embracing the dance of shadow and magic within us all.

Channel the Sun is a collective of artists weaving new ways of creating, relating and artistic collaboration. Our work continues to evolve into a tapestry of multi disciplinary media- a kind of synesthesia where no realm is ever truly separate from the other.

Music turns into film into fashion into print. From a physical magazine to 100+ episode podcast, to events, films, book publishing, vending machines and installations.

Channel the Sun is exactly this. A channel beyond a single destination.

Channel the Sun is the central hub for worlds built by our multidimensional team who straddle realms and wrangle visions. We work with a select network of creatives around the world to birth unusual projects, spread underground whispers and build dream boards from the backseat of a Pink Hearse.
